Pomegranate peel powders were subjected to extraction through the maceration technique with ethanol (Novachim, Bucharest, Romania) as the solvent. Using a shaker (Heidolph, Unimax 2010 Elektro GmbH, Kelheim, Germany), extractions were performed in Erlenmeyer flasks (Schott Duran, Voor’t labo, Eeklo, Belgium) containing 2.0 g of the pomegranate peel powder sample.
